About Us

The Hunny Pot is a ground floor flat with 2 bedrooms, lounge and dining room. The kitchen has a conventional cooker and a microwave and utility room with a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is heating in every room by off- peak electric storage heating, with a portable fan heater in case of a sudden cold snap. The flat is double glazed and carpeted throughout, enjoys off street parking and an enclosed garden, within the picturesque fishing village with its many family friendly restaurants. In the lounge there is digital FreeView decoder, a LCD Screen TV, DVD, video and a collection of very current videos & DVDs. The porch has a bookcase with an eclectic range of books including the stories of Heligan and the Eden Project. There is wireless broadband available if you really can't do without the internet.
The dining room has a 4 - 6 seater expanding pedestal dining table, compendium of games including Trivial Pursuit, Monopoly, cards & dice, as well as a radio/tape/CD player and a selection of compilation CDs.
The bathroom has a bath, with electric shower over, as well as basin and WC. All towels and linen are provided, as are consumables. There is a travel cot and high chair available.

Clare & Tony are a pair of avid gardeners, and are delighted to have acquired the garden of an keen plantswoman. There are some interesting plants within the garden and there is a series of benches and picnic tables to sit and enjoy the sights and scents of the garden. There is a free-standing charcoal barbeque for guests to cook al fresco. There is a little stream flowing through one side of the garden, with a planting of arum lilies along the side. The emphasis is on quiet relaxing holidays with the prospect of visiting the wonderful gardens of Cornwall - Trebah, Trellisick, Trewithen, Heligan, Glendurgan, Caerhays and the incomparable Eden Project.

Tony is also a bit of a petrol-head, and has a collection of motor sports memorabilia and videos available for your enjoyment. Like all overgrown boys he also likes trains and in Mevagissey, there is a fine collection of model railways at the World of Model Railways. There is a preserved standard gauge railway at Bodmin and a series of narrow gauge lines at the Lappa Valley Steam Railway near Newquay. It takes a cold heart not to marvel at the beauty of sailing ships and there is a fine selection at Charlestown Shipwreck and Heritage Centre, often used in production of TV and films.

This is a very exciting and interesting part of Cornwall in which to relax and enjoy spectacular scenery,
good food and bracing clean sea air. We will endeavour to do all we can to make your stay the most
enjoyable and relaxing experience.

We look forward to seeing you.
